Jane Iredale Mineral make-Up

If you are a fan of mineral make up (and let's face it, why wouldn't you be!), then you need to take a look at a brand called Jane Iredale.

Developed by Jane after she saw the ill effects of pore clogging make up on actresses and models within the entertainment industry, she found herself inspired to create makeup which not just looked gorgeous, but that was actually good for your skin too.

Organic Surge - More than Just Their Brand Name

Organic Surge

Have you ever thought about how a company come up with their brand name? Well I have (and I also clearly have too much time on my hands!)

It got me thinking about the multiple award winning natural skin, hair, and body care company "Organic Surge". The dictionary defines the word "surge" as a strong, wavelike, forward movement, a rush, or a sweep.

The brand with a Conscience

This company's whole ethos is one of giving to the consumer and to those less fortunate. They seek to make changes to the lives of not only the people who use their products, but to shape the world around them. Hence, they serve as a strong, forward thinking company who have swept the organic market. They are a company who are more than a brand name, a company with a conscience striving to make a difference.

The Healing Power of the Avocado

Avocado for Natural Skin Care

Avocados are a funny thing. Some people love them, others hate them. Many people aren't even sure what they are but what is certain about them is that they are one of nature's most amazing skin moisturiser. They are absolutely crammed with goodness and can be used both inwardly and outwardly to reap amazingly healthy benefits! Even though avocados are filled with fats, these are healthy in themselves due to both this and also the phytonutrients they contain. It is for this reason that people who suffer from very dry skin which tends to become even more dried out and uncomfortable when using conventional moisturisers can benefit from this wonder fruit. Avocados are natural beauty products!

Love your Hair & Skin

People come in all shapes and sizes, but we have one thing in common; we want to look and feel our absolute best. Having gorgeous hair and skin can radically change how we perceive ourselves, and it is easier to attain that you might imagine. Every day we come upon stress, but there is no reason to stress our skin and hair too. This means staying away from chemicals and additives which damage cells, and wear them down, till both hair and skin are lustreless and lose their radiance. But thankfully the alternative is simple; go natural.

About Burt's Bees

Burt Shavitz

Meet Burt

Burt's Bees started with a humble bee keeper named Burt Shavitz who lived in an 8' x 8' cabin in the hills near Garland, North of Bangor USA. Burt led a simple life selling quarts of honey out of the back of his pick-up truck at a local market in Dexter. The money he made from selling his honey was enough to pay his land taxes, fuel for the pick-up and living cost's, not bad from a modest thirty hives!

Creating Shine on Curly Hair

15 March 2012

More often than not, straight hair appears shinier than curly hair. There's actually a reason for this: straight hair has flat cuticles which reflect the light easier than curly hair. If your hair is naturally straight, there's more chance it will naturally shine, or at least be easier to get looking shiny. If you have naturally curly hair, even if you straighten it, because of the cuticle make up it's not always as easy to get it to look shiny. However it is far from impossible! Did you know both Sandra Bullock and Uma Thurman have naturally curly hair? Both of these beautiful stars always have glistening hair, whether it's curly or straightened, showing it is possible.

Natural Hair Care Provides Vitamins and Minerals for your Hair

Natural Hair Care Products Provide Vitamins

Last week, the European Responsible Nutrition Alliance (ERNA) released a new fact book, detailing the benefits of a healthy intake of vitamins and minerals as part of a healthy diet. The 97 page book discusses the advantages of ensuring you get enough nutrients and the risks of what can go wrong if you don't and is backed by research carried out over a number of years.

You might think talk of vitamin and mineral intake doesn't apply to your hair but you'd be wrong; vitamins and minerals have a profound effect on hair maintenance. Not only this but ingredients in hair care products can be absorbed into your body through your skin so it's important to know what you're using on your hair. That's why natural hair care is recommended for healthy hair and skin.

Perfect Skin Care with Natural Moisturiser

Finding the right moisturiser for your particular skin type can involve a lot of trial and error as well as expense, with many of us having a plentiful supply of partially used creams sitting around at home, after abandoning them in favour of something different. You might not realise it but the reason you haven't found your perfect moisturising cream yet could be that you have not given natural moisturisers a try.

Treat Sensitive Skin With Natural Cleanser

04 January 2012

Natural Organic Cleanser

When looking for a facial cleanser, the key things to consider are that it cleanses effectively and that it doesn't cause irritation. Many people, especially those with sensitive skin, find that everyday cleansers are harsh on their skin, leaving it feeling dry and even flaky. This is often due to the chemicals contained in many common cleansers. If you have ever felt like this the chances are you would benefit greatly by using a natural cleanser. Natural cleansers are designed to work with your skin, soothing as they clean away make up, dirt and grease, gently preparing your skin for toning and moisturising.
